Steak & Chewy Meat<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re a fan of BBQ meats, the bad news is that such foods aren\u2019t suited for dentures. It\u2019d be best if you avoided them in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The problem is that steaks (and similarly chewy meat) are hard to chew. Due to their texture and composition, they force their eaters to bite very frequently. That means having them with dentures would damage your prosthetic teeth or even dislodge them. To prevent these outcomes, you should either refrain from chewy meats or cut them into bite-sized pieces first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crunchy Fruits & Raw Veggies<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Once you have dentures, you should probably quit snacking on apples or celery. Your new prosthetics aren\u2019t a good match for crunchy fruits and raw veggies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note that many plant-based foods have very tough skin. To pierce through that layer and reach beyond it, you\u2019d need to have a very strong bite. Remember, treats like caramels and gummies often cling to chewing surfaces. It can get quite tricky just removing them from natural teeth.
